Hemp Extract

Hemp extract refers to the full-spectrum oil derived from the leaves, flowers and stalks of Cannabis sativa plant (versus hemp seed oil, which is extracted from seeds only). Hemp and its byproducts legally must contain less than 0.3 percent of THC, so it does not produce any intoxicating (high) effects. Importantly, food-grade hemp oil is rich in phytocannabinoids such as cannabidiol (CBD), along with natural terpenes, flavonoids and other beneficial compounds that work together to create an “entourage effect.”

Hemp oil/CBD oil activates the human Endocannabinoid System. It has been studied for its ability to relieve pain, nausea and inflammation. Current research suggests CBD may have many other benefits including: Anxiety and depression, sleep disorders, migraine, cluster and other headaches, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), cancer, allergies, asthma, epilepsy and other seizure disorders, multiple sclerosis (MS), lung conditions, Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
