Frankincense

Fragrant frankincense is the resinous extract from Boswellia trees, mainly four different species. Popular in sacred oils since ancient times, frankincense has a history of use in herbal medicine in Africa, China, India and the Middle East for various illnesses and conditions including chronic inflammation. In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), frankincense is used to improve circulation and relieve pain. In Ayurvedic medicine, frankincense is used as an anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic and analgesic agent.
